Navigating Bias in Peer Recognition: A Panel Discussion on Crafting and Evaluating Faculty Research Award Nomination Letters

New event: VPRI's Office of Research Prizes and Awards will be hosting a panel event that will dig into the complications and complexities of writing and evaluating inclusive letters of nomination for colleagues and peers. Drawing from their own experiences, the panelists will engage us in a critical conversation about the challenges we may encounter and the potential unintended consequences when we seek to remove bias from how we write and evaluate letters of reference.
