Award Details
Since 1978, five or six prizes have been awarded annually in the Sciences. Rotating prize fields comprise: AGRICULTURE, CHEMISTRY, MATHEMATICS, MEDICINE and PHYSICS. In the Arts, the prize rotates annually among ARCHITECTURE, MUSIC, PAINTING and SCULPTURE.
The prize in each field consists of a certificate and a monetary award of $100,000. In the event of two or three recipients sharing the prize, the honorarium is divided equally.
The 2025 Wolf Prize will be awarded in the fields of Physics, Medicine, Agriculture, Chemistry, and Architecture. The deadline for submitting nominations is expected to be October 30, 2024.
> The Wolf Prize is awarded to individuals, not to institutions.
> A person cannot nominate themselves.
> All existing nominations are valid for three years.
