New event: VPRI's Office of Research Prizes and Awards and the Institutional Council for Research Prizes and Awards are hosting an online panel event on Thursday September 18 to discuss research award adjudication in the context of DORA, the Declaration on Research Assessment, which recognizes the need to improve the ways in which the outputs of scholarly research are evaluated.

Dr. Kelly Cobey is a Scientist and Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, where she leads the Metaresearch and Open Science Program. She is also co-Chair of the international DORA Steering Committee. We will follow her presentation with a panel discussion with Dr. Cobey and UBC faculty members who sit on research award adjudication committees.
Faculty and staff members are encouraged to attend.
