Prix Galien is the most prestigious award in the field of pharmaceutical research and innovation. It recognizes the efforts and achievements of pharmaceutical research and development in Canada and around the world.

Our vision is to be the catalyst for the development of the next generation of innovative treatments and technologies that will impact human health and save lives.

There are two annual awards, one celebrating significant research contribution and a second recognizing the development of an innovative product that has contributed to patient care in Canada.

1- The Prix Galien Canada - Research Award (not offered 2023) is presented every year to the researcher or the research team judged by an independent Jury to have made the most significant contribution to pharmaceutical research in Canada. (on hold)

2- The Prix Galien Canada - Innovative Product Award is presented every year to the company that has developed a drug product launched on the Canadian market and judged by the Jury to have made the most significant overall contribution to patient care in Canada in terms of efficacy, safety, benefits and innovation.
